Okay, I saw this note & thought Holy Shit!  So, I figured I'd pass it on to you guys here!

Essentially, they're taking the +70 valor points for your first heroic of the day & changing it to +70 valor points for your first 7 Random Heroics for the week!  Additionally, you'll receive +140 valor points for the first 7 "Rise of the Zandalari" Heroic dungeons (the new Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub instances) each week!

WE WANT YOU!!!

We Want You!!!

As we continue to hit 85 and gear up our members, we continur to grow!!!

Since Knights of Purity isn't merely a "Raid Guild" we've got a variety of "Officer Positions" we're going to be looking to fill.  In addition to any duty-specific officers, the KoP Senior Officers will still be involved in all guild duties.

What we're looking for (for now):

  1. Recruiting Officer (raid & non-raid)
  2. Social Events Officer (non-raid)
  3. Raid Leaders (raid, duh)
  4. PvP Team Leaders
  5. Anything else...

If you're interested in climbing into an Officer Role, this may be your chance.  To express your interest, hit up the link below & post in the forums, or shoot a KoP officer a mail in-game on on the site.

Cataclysm Raiding Info!!! Print E-mail

Okay, there's been some questions about what Knights of Purity is going to do for Cataclysm raiding.  I'm hoping here to at least point out the basics & then I gladly welcome discussion in the forums!

Key points:

  1. Raid Nights -
    • Progression Raids - Tentatively starting on Jan 20th we will start raiding Thurs & Monday @ 6-9 server (same as old SRA times).  We may add an "optional" night, if we've got enough raiders on that want to go.
    • Alt Raids - Additionally, we're going to be running alts & "old school" raids on Saturday & Sunday from 6-10 server. (Thanks Shaggy).
  2. Roster Size - Start out with 10-man raiding - move to 25-man if we end up with enough people.
  3. Invite Priority - There is a guild rank of "Raider" for those that plan on attending most raids (75%).  If you're planning on raiding, & are already lvl85, then PM me on the site or mail me in-game to get your rank changed.  Guildies with the "Raider" rank have invite priority, assuming class-balance has been achieved.
  4. Guild Runs - We will do our best to hit the 80% requirement so the guild gets credit for each kill.  We'll bring in friends & family as needed to run, but will push for 80% KoP.
  5. Loot Rules - We're going to go with our standing Class>Need>Greed loot rules with a 1 Need win per raid week (Tues-Mon).  If we extend the timer from a previous week, you still get a new "need roll" on Tuesday.  You can win as many Greed rolls in a week as you want (assuming they are class/gear appropriate).  That being said, if you've won 2-3 greed rolls & someone makes their first, it would probably go a long way to "share the love".
  6. Recruiting - We currently do not have a dedicated recruiting officer.  As a result, it's up to all of us to try and recruit people that we meet that are of a similar mindset (i.e. crazy).
  7. Absences - To start off, we're NOT going to have an absences thread that everyone's expected to post in when they're not going to make a raid night.  If we have issues not knowing who's going to show, we may re-think this.
  8. Progression vs. Alt Raids - As mentioned above, we have specific nights for Progression & Alt raids.  We need to work towards keeping our "mains" in on progression nights, unless we need alts for specific encounters (additional healers/ranged DPS etc).  The Alt runs will be how we normally gear up our alts.  It's amazing how well these run since most people already know the encounters from running their mains.  We'll also work to get guildies into these runs that can't normally commit to "Progression Raids".  This also means that "Progression Nights" will regularly include extending the raid timer & lots of boss wipes.

First off, I'd like to take a moment to welcome all the newcomers to Knights of Purity!

We're a pretty mellow group (which those of you from SRA know) who like to have fun & occasionally get a little rowdy.

Additionally Shaggydog & Tygrayanne have decided to graciously offer us use of their Ventrilo server for voice chat!

More details to come!
